Eating Out

There are a number of great places to eat out in Calahonda, listed below are some of our favourites, which we feel you will enjoy.

Johnny’s Place

Owners Johnny and Delia will take good care of you.  Johnny's Place only has terrace seating but good tapas and full plates.  Order 2 or 3 tapas, beer or wine and chill out. You can sit there all day, ordering more tapas as you go.  Open 1 pm 'til late.

Miel y Nata

Very popular Italian restaurant with great views over the coast.  Big food for very small price.  Many starters enough for two people to share.  Baked aubergine our favourite but quite large.

Papillon

More upmarket Italian, very pleasant inside or outside on terrace. Excellent food but still reasonably priced.

Las Llaves

If you want a Spanish restaurant that will not break the bank this is the best in the area.  The food and setting are fantastic. It is best to telephone for reservations. The terrace area is fully planted and they flambé outside. This is a family run restaurant where the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.  This is a short taxi ride away, approximately 8 Euros going, maybe 10 Euros coming back, possibly because the return is up hill. It's always best to take a taxi if you plan to drink as the measures of alcohol are large.
